Flag

Update: The vote tally was clear. Flag Number One was chosen and was announced at the 2023 Summer Reception.

The Voting is Over

VOTE

IT’S YOUR GUILD, YOUR FLAG

The quest for a Guild flag officially began with the initial voting taking place during the Horn Fair on March 10th & 11th. Now it’s your turn to vote if you couldn’t attend. It is important to have our own flag along with our National flag at all future Horn Fairs as well as other key events. Only current Guild members are allowed to vote. All that is needed is your name and the number corresponding to your flag selection. A minimum of 110 votes are needed for final flag selection approval.

All votes will be tabulated in the first week in April and the flag selected will be unveiled during the Summer Reception at the Gunmakers Fair at Kempton this coming July 28th, 2023.

Before making your selection please review the following Principles of Flag Design:
Simplicity: A flag should be simple in design making it easily recognizable and simple to replicate.
Symbolism: A flag should represent what it stands for with symbols which reflect the organization’s strengths, values and history.
Lettering or Seals: Lettering & seals are not recommended as both are distracting. A flag should represent what it stands for with symbols; lettering should not be used to tell what a flag is or what it represents.
Colors: Usually only three colors are used. Basic colors are red, white, blue, green, black & yellow.
Recognition: Must stand on its own, easily recognizable from a distance and distinct from other flags.
